Conrail 4022 EMD E8A

Conrail used three E8As, sometimes called the Executive Es, to pull their business trains. In this article, I discuss the Conrail E8A 4022, a former Erie locomotive. The Consolidated Rail Corporation used this locomotive in passenger service until the merger in 1999.
